I visited the Verkada San Mateo office, and it genuinely changed how I think about company culture. 🏢

Walking in, you feel it immediately.

Over 2,000 employees. And every single one of them has their photo on the wall. Not a corporate directory, a statement. "These are our people."

On March 17th, I had the privilege of joining the NC State Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center's Silicon Valley Spring Trip. One of our stops: Verkada HQ.

Here's what stayed with me:

→ Their team walked us through how Verkada's physical security platform works, cameras, access control, environmental sensors ,all unified into one intelligent system. The clarity and passion with which they explained it was remarkable.

→ The culture of transparency is real. From the employee wall to how openly they spoke about their mission, you could feel the pride.

→ Even the canteen reflected who they are, thoughtful, welcoming, and built for people who do great work.

I also had the chance to speak with their MBA recruiter Summer Benavidez, and it was one of the most honest and sweet conversations I've had about career growth in tech.
